I was instructed to replace the airbag sensors located behind the front bumper of my truck . The problem is where are they. I took my grill and lights out and still couldnt find them. Any help would be appreciated

 

On the bottom of the radiator core support.

 

Ya beat me to it... I was just getting ready to say that, i found mine when i creamed a dear and had to replace the bumper...

 

Thanks for the help i was told to disconnect the battery for 1/2 an hour before i R&R the sensor so it doesnt go off. Is that the proper way?

 

Haven't heard that before but if you can afford the 30min it sure won't hurt anything either.

That is likely a good idea... More like 5 minutes.. most airbag modules have capacitors internally to allow airbag deployment even with the battery cables severed..

It makes me nervous working on the airbag systems in newer vehicles and i have been properly trained..
