Default 07 L92 swap... Any known issues?

I've seen a couple mentions about the oil pumps in these things being possibly weird and wondered if anyone here had thoughts on it? Its a stock 07 L92, stock oem oil pump, VVT engine no AFM ( no dod ) and I dont know if theres an updated oil pump or not o whether I should change it or just run it?

Other than that I cant say ive uncovered anything about these that looks dicey at all so if anyone knows of anything to be careful with or double check I'd appreciate it. Thanks

why the fuel pump? the stock FP will support a 42lbs injector.
yeah bad gas mileage, bigger motor=worse gas mileage

Thanks. Dont care much for fuel mileage I just want to make POWER haha. So by the sounds of things Im good to go from a mechanical standpoint just dropping the sucker in. No hidden gremlins to worry about.

As for the oil pump? I read a couple threads somewhere that they can seize up or something. Only the VVT pumps but I dont know if they were DOD as well. I dont really know much about it at all but seeing as no one seems to be screaming watch out I dont think Im going to worry about it either.

Unless someone else has some info we dont know about?

nah man i never heard about the oil pump. but if your that worried upgrade to a ported LS6 oil pump for like 100-130 im not sure the price.
are you using the VVT? are you spinning the motor past 5900rpm? how big of a lift on the cam? what springs are you gonna use? any head work?

i got rid of my VVT, upgraded to LS7 lifters ad trays, Milled the heads .020, 3 angle valve job, Patriot Extreme valve springs, 610lift cam. im going to dyno an see where the motor starts to fall an let that determine where i set my shift points.
im also upgrading to the FAST 102mm, 1 7/8" LTs, 3.5" exhaust in due time. tjen if im not happy the stock heads will come off for some CNC p&p LS3 heads

Yes Im keeping the VVT and as a result Im running PAC1518 beehives because the VVT phaser is prone to fail under too much spring pressure. Custom EPS cam 600 lift 222/230 114+4 redline of 6800. Swapping to an LS3 intake, stock 87mm tb, stock heads, no DOD ( All the lifters are LS7 ) 1 3/4" headers into 2.5" etc.
