Check out www.decalking.com they have all the factory Z-71 stickers.

Place the new sticker w/ the backing still on over the top of the old sticker, tape in place at the top to make a "hinge" peel off old sticker, then peel off backing of the new sticker, spray w/ lots of water and squeegee into place.

Yes we did this on my old truck. I wrote exactly how my body shop did it. You can just make a square around it with tape before you remove the old one to give you a place to stick the new one. However we did not wet the new sticker like hulk says to do. As long as you go from one side to the other and line it up perfect so there are no kinks or bubbles in it you will be fine. But I have heard of people using a soapy solution for racing stripes, so it might work too.
