I'll go along with it wasnt the brightest thing in the world to do, but i dont think there's much of anything you can do. Be glad if thats the worst that happens from this ordeal.

It wasn't just a burnout ... it was a donut in the middle of an intersection.
The smoke ... was that tire smoke or 'other' smoke?
I think the impounding was a bit much, but the scare tactics are agy, but they should have let you out of the ticket if they were gonna waste your time like that. I think that was strictly a display of 'I have more power than you'. If you want to fight the ticket, I think you should get a lawyer and ask him for help.
I agree ... hella =
People wanting to 'AXE' me a question makes me want to have an axe around too ... just not to hand to them.
I think it shows thier ignorance in a big way!

your not gonna get it back till 30 days my buddy got poped for racing and they impounded it for 30 days. They gave him a reckless driving ticket ( drag racing ) ticket. Im here in cal to and there really craking down on street racing. Burnouts, racing whatever they dont care they all consider it racing. You might lose you lisence to. Reckless driving is 2 points aginst your record and its a misdaminer.

Breaking the law is breakign the law and the cop did his job
The thing I find most ironic about the replies to this post is that there are members posting vids. of street races they are involved in and everybody is giving them a big "hell yeah", "awesome" , "nice run!" type reply. I read posts about street races all the time. More people die street racing than whipping a donut, yet, this dude gets bashed for it?
Does this make sense to anyone? Im confused.
IMO - no matter what, keep it on the track where it belongs. I enjoy races, I like fast cars, I own muscle cars and trucks and I have the HP bug too. But, get even close to injuring me or a loved one whipping a donut or street racing and i'll hunt you down like an escaped slave and do everything in my power to put a serious "walking tall" type hurtin on your ***.
DISCLAIMER - I am speaking in general terms, not directed at anybody in particular. Just making the point that its rather ironic to see someone get hammered on for whipping a donut, but in the other forums there are posted street races and street race discussions with nobody chastising the involved individuals. I've had two ignorant buddies killed street racing, one in a BMW and one in a Vette.
