I think everybody's butt-dyno needs recalibrating all the time if they drive the same vehicle enough. You can't help but get used to how something feels. Like was already said, let somebody else drive it and it'll feel faster.

So then the question is; what matters most, the seat-of-the-pants or the actual dyno numbers?

Both are equally important in my opinion.

The problem with the butt-dyno is that it's a sliding scale.

You can make x amount of power on a real dyno one week, but on a butt dyno it feels like you lost some power a week later when it actually stayed the same.

i think the butt dyno is more important..... but you cant tune using a butt dyno i suppose

meh, the butt-dyno is the most rewarding dyno result after a new mod. actual dyno numbers can make ya feel bad after you installed a new mod even though it "Feels' much faster

ive been used to drivin my dads old 72 ford with a 240 straight six wich is slower than mallasus (sp) well yesterday im my grandmas Chauffuer drivin her 2004 buick park avenue..with a lill 3.8 v6..ill tell you what guys that lill basterd is damn fast for what it is..i scared the **** out of my grandma and my momma yesterday passin a car goin down a hill, i tromp it and that basterd torque steers and i bout hit the car im passin weavin all over the road..my butt meter went off
