Default would this be a good idea

i was thinking today about the questions that are often asked in the truck section. Most dealing with what can i do to my truck. How about we generate a sticky that says what can be done. such as cai, gears, nitrous, FI, pulleys, efans and such. basically a to do list for trucks. it would not have to be complicated. Just list up things that can be done and possibly list what brands there are. of course hitting up the sponsors would be great.

any feedback or suggestions are highly recommended. and i know the mods are thinking NOOOOOOOO, this is just something else i have to deal with. I'll take bite the bullet and do the typing and upkeep if needed. as long as everyone helps send me info..

well better yet, what mods would be best for what ur going for... like make a list of the mods that should get u 14.5-14.9 range, then mods that should get u 13.9-14.4 range etc etc... but leaving out the little unnecessary mods that dont matter

oh yea, list what each mod helps with. like low end. top end. all around power mod. those things would be helpfull. cause i know we have seen our share of i need more low end questions.....

this would be a easy quick reference for people that don't know what all to do but can read. also, i think this would draw some more traffic to the site.

we could also include:

- estimated cost of mod
- avg RWHP of mod
- most HP per $$$ mod (e.g. nitrous #1)

I think thats a cool idea, would definetely help people new to the truck modding scene. I know it took me a little while just reading on here to figure out the way alot of the mods are/work etc., this way it would all be in one place from the get go and you wouldn't have to search as much and dig through fact and fiction to find out about mods.

Great idea... Only problem i see is most newbies dont pay any attention to the stickys... they just post a new post... The title would definetely have to be catchy i think..

like a faq?

since its so many new guys coming in
It would probably help they would not have to do
a ton of searching

kinda like put up polls
intake
exhaust
rear end
suspension
cams
FI
shift kits
etc you get the idea

and compile it all into 1 sticky with percentages and
links to the poll threads

this would keep repetative threads to a minimum
and make the site more interesting
because you would have to come up with something better than
what intake what exhaust etc etc

I would seperate it into four sections
NA, FI and N2O being you need to decide which route before you break into it
the fourth section would contain bolt ons that isnt applicable to the above applications
just my .02
