Default wind noise

On my 99 ecsb the rear side windows leak air at highway speeds, is this a common problem with these trucks. Water does not get in but the wind noise is annoying. the latch to me dosn't lock all the way, but it wont go any further and I don't want to break it. Also the 3rd door is hard to shut(you have to slam it hard) alingment looks good, weatherstripping looks good. Are these common problems and something I will have to live with or are there simple solutions Thanks: Lucas

This is a very common problem, the only fix is to replace the 1/4 window with the newer part number. They are bonded in so they aren't real easy to do. Your local glass shop is your best bet, preferrably a shop that has been doing work for a GM dealer.....they would have done a ton of these.

Mine does the exact same thing minus the third door problem. It annoys the hell outta me. They should honestly have a recall. I'd like to get it fixed but I doubt I ever will. It has leaked since my dad bought it new.

My rear side windows seal properly, but they rattle badly when driving with them open. Does the newer part number fix that too?
