widest tires on stock rims?

Default widest tires on stock rims?

how wide a tire can you cram onto a stock rim? ive got the factory aluminum rims on my '00 silverado. they've got 255-70-16s on em now. want something a lil wider...
anyone got any pics?

I have 285/75 16 BFG AT's on mine for the time being. Been about 2 years I guess, no problems with rubbing or anything like that. I plan on lowering it a tad and going with some 285/50 20's on Joe Gibbs wheels in the summer and 275/70 16 snows in the winter....hopefully this will happen this spring.

I was running goodyear eagle gt2's that are 285x60x16 and fit very well.

stock height with 2" shakels, there 29.5" i believe.
