Question Why No S/C Towing?

Why does Magnacharger frown upon you using their kit for towing????
That is one reason why I was wanting one.
What kind of problems will I have?
Would this be the wrong FI kit for towing 6,000lbs+ during the summer? Some of the trips may have 8hrs of drive time per day for 2-3 days one way.
Any suggestions/ pros and cons?
Would else is there for FI options that's towing friendly.
My biggest issue is my $1,400.00 set of Dynatech LT's sitting in the garage.
Give opinions please!

Jim

I'd imagine as long as a lot of the trip wasnt uphill towing and you drove at a reasonable speed and didnt floor it you'd be fine. I know theres a guy on here with a truck like mine with the STS turbo kit and he tows a lot, i think his name is like jerry2500HD or something.

The tech department at Magnacharger told me this. He told me the unit is not designed to handle moderate loads. I told him around 6,000K and he said don't even try it.
That is the reasoning behind this post.

No, I don't remember the guys name. It was about 4 weeks ago. I was also told this same thing when I inquired about the Radix several months ago.

Well, all I can tell you, is rest assured you can tow whatever the heck you want with it. As BC said, towing is where the Radix kit shines. And I mean shines.
