I Know That Every Mod I Put Into My Truck I Will Never Get It Back If I Sell It. Knowing That I Do It Because It Makes Me Feel Good When I See And Feel The Results . And Its An Extension My Personality. Stock Is For People That Go From Point A To Point B And Dont Care How They Get There

I know exactly how you feel with the blowing money then the winter ***** it up . Ok more the blowing money rather than the Alabama winter, not much of a comparison there. Actually I had a 2000 vette 6 speed z 51 package that I got tired of it staying dirty during the winter rains last year so I sold it. Basically I didn't want to drive it in the rain because it would get dirty. I regretted selling it this summer of course so I bought a Harley that I rode for a month then parked it because I about got ran over. Now I have a harley that I don't want to ride unless it is at least 70*. It will be Next March before that will happen. Anyone want a Harley? Mine's for sale. I have 3 car projects going now and my O5 is supposed to be the tow vehicle for the race car...well it has taken all my attention away from the race car and my old truck that I need to sell but can't because I am always working on my new one.
I'm interested in the Cal-tracs. PM me on a price.

I read the first post and thought, "Nooo! How can he sell the stepside!" Glad to hear we've talked you into keeping it.

PM me on the Caltracs tool, incase mjhoward doesn't want them.

I knew even before I spent the big bucks on the Radix that I was over the top on this thing and would never be able to get my $$ back and now with the Radix..... forgidabouit It's hard to find someone who wants it AND has money because they won't be able to borrow enough to pay for it and most of the people who would be interested don't have the cash.

But then I didn't do it to make $$. It's still worth the investment when I'm crusining and little kids riding their bikes down the street stop and yell "hey mister! Nice truck!!" ..... or when I see people turning around in their seats trying to get a longer look.... or at the car shows/cruise nights when people tell me how much they love my truck. Also the long hours spent on it were/are a labor of love and are relaxing and rewarding because I've created something. This project has improved the quality of my life. Priceless.

I totally agree with every point you guys have made,
Everywhere I go I get asked a lot of questions and most really dig my truck,

I'm totally obsessed with my truck and don't really mind the money thing.
When i would do a mod the next thing you know The brackets are powdercoated and I end up changing all the bolts to stainless.
Stuff you can't even see but it satisfies my obsessive compulsive behavior.

It's just I would like to start a new project and can't figure out how some are sucessful in doing that.

Give me a month on the Suspension,
I'll take evrything off and clean it up with pics.

I figure out a way to lock in the rear axle so it doesn't move while I remove everything, that way when I do the 4 link I can take my time and not worry about it being crooked and ****.

Happy Turkey day.

To lock in the rear axle I'd fab up a bunch of angle iron and weld the axle housing to the frame with it. You can just cut it all out and grind it down with some flap disc and you won't even be able to tell it was done. The other option is take about 50 measurements and draw it out on paper.
