Default Who wants a look at the newer power train?


6.2 400hp 400lbs tq



6spd auto


355hp 380tq 5.3

The 355hp version is the l33 or may i say H.o the non H.o would say it's 320hp

you don't by chance know what was done differently to get those hp numbers? It looks like the intake might be different, but I wonder what else has changed. They are all based off of the current LSx motors right?

I have no idea what has been done to them, i know an aluminium block will be available for the 4.8, 5.3, 6.0, 6.2 , my guess is there will be a higher compression like the l33's have. They also could be doing the flywheel dyno with these engines instead of the tranny dyno they did with GenIII engines. But 1 thing is for sure they will all have the DOD system wich is awesome. i could imagine that 6.2 on a 6-speed tranny on a rcsb.

I'd love that 6-speed auto, maybe get better mileage than 14.

better mileage and better aceeleration 2 man that thing is nice, wonder what trucks will be doin with the 6.2 if available on 1500's even the 5.3's will be nice mated to that 6-speed.

That 6spd makes a ton of heat in my expierence (cant really talk about).

I wonder what is involved in a DOD conversion.
