Thanks for the comments....the case from Escort came off with one screw and there was a small circuit card inside with the LEDs on it. I took that little panel out and used a dremel on the excess material on the backside of the panel. Then marked where the holes for the LEDs and button needed to be using the original case, drilled them out, and stuck the little card where it needed to be with a hot glue gun. It was really simple to do.
I know the pic is horrible but I didn't leave enough play in the wires to pull it out any more than that. Hopefully it will help a little.

ditto on were everyone else has theirs mounted. best place thiefs cant see it either for the most part. i took the top console off and wired the two lights to the right switch so they both come on at once. then used the other switch to turn the radar on. works perfect. if you have a passport you could mount the muter on the side of the console unless you wanted it more within reach. one othe coo thing is those lights will go off after a set time after the truck is off. so turn the radar on and leave it on and the truck will shut it off and turn it on. I WILL WORN YOU do not do this with 03 and up trucks they do crazy **** and it will not work correct. i have had mine like this for two years and have had no trouble.
