The paint to match tailgate handle and bezel GM sells is not correct..... it's the regular pebble finish shot in color so they are a complete waste of money lol. You can replicate that pretty easily at home with your factory parts.

The aftermarket handles work just fine.... but then I guess I am not an ape on my doors as I have never broke a factory door handle either..... tailgate a few times... doors never. Sold my 04 to a friend for 2 years... he's a small guy and in the first month he busted the drivers rear door handle off it... oh well lol.

 

Do you know if the paint-to-match Dorman handles are the same?
Another member pointed me towards a white tailgate handle/bezel and white door bezels w/chrome door handles. I bought their tailgate handle, but I'm still wanting the all white handles haha. I'm either going to a wrecking yard and seeing if they have any nice factory ones or getting the dorman ones and getting em painted

 

I don't buy them through Dorman and they come a different supplier here that isn't Dorman lol. The set on my truck are just off of 2 different Yukons I found in the junkyard lol. We have done the ones we get through Caps for like $40 and they work just fine.. no more flimsy than the original GM ones. I do have Dorman tailgate handles and bezels on my trucks as that has all broken more than once lol.

 

Got my tailgate handle and bezel on! Good quality part and came with factory green and red lock rod clips.

Now just gotta find me some door handles. Would have bought them from the same seller of this tailgate latch but they only had the chrome handles w/white bezels. Not my style

 

Looks great! Did that end up being a factory bezel and handle or aftermarket? I'm the same way, found a set of esky handles but having a hard time finding full color handles.

The double sided tape of the bezel isn't that great, but that's easily remedied

 

Indont think i have ever seen the double sided tape on the bezel actually used for anything over than to keep it from rattling. Usually one small pieceon either side of the handle.
