wheels question
#1
I have a 2004 single cab stepside silverado im looking to put 20's on it i found some at a good price but the tires are 285-50's is that too big of a tire since im looking to do a 2/4 drop?I might be able to talk the guy into putting 27-50's on the rims thats only about 1/2inch bigger than 275-45's which i think would be the right size for the drop?Any help would be appreciated.

Most people run 275/45's with a 2/4 drop. However, the 285/50 will fit fine with a 2/4 drop. Search for 99silver6.0's threads; he has this combo and it fits very well. Looks good too.

I've done some research and think the 285-50-20's will work just dont want to waste money or mess anything up if anyone else knows anything about this please leave a reply and thanks for the help stroker

I put the wheels on but it looks like the tire is too big for the rim so it has a little sidewall bulge, which the tire looks good on the truck right now but when i lower it i might have to go with a smaller tire
