Wheel and tire fitment 2/4 drop
#1
Hi all. New here and new to lowered trucks.
that being said I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 ext cab 2wd. I am wanting to do a 2/4 lowering kit and I have a set of GM replica snowflake wheels (20x9 +24mm offset) and a set of 275/55/20 tires. Will they fit without rubbing? If they do rub then what would the best size tire to get without rubbing.
Again sorry for the dumb noob question

Link is a pic of my RCSB on 2/4 Hotchkis with 275/55/20's and 20x9 take off LTZ wheels, not sure of offset but probably +27 or so. On bigger bumps/dips you might get some rubbing up front on the inside of the plastic fender liner. If you already have the tires, I'd run them. If you find they rub or don't otherwise like them when it comes time to replace them you could go with 275/50/20's. The 275/55/20's should have on overall outer diameter or 31.9" where the 275/50/20's have an overall outer diameter of 30.8".

thank you for the information. But don’t get me wrong the 31.9 and 30.8 inches would be the overall diameter/height of the tire wouldn’t any rubbing issues come from the width of the tire being 10.8 inches?
