What tires are yall running?
#1
i was just wondering on what tires yall are using. my last set was bfg radial ta 275/65/16, but they sucked. i went through a set in a year. however that was likely caused by my desire to speed were ever i go. plus they had no traction what so ever. I just got some Toyo proxy 275/60/16 and they look bad *** plus they seem to hook up well. only problem is that up here in lubbock the altitude sucks and it feels like i am driving with a ton of bricks in the bed, so i haven't been able to try the new tires out.

i got them from discount. i believe they were $155 each but a friend knew someone and he knocked $20 off each tire. there are two kinds a V rating and a Z rating. i got the V just for longevity but they still kick ***.
i had them for about 2 weeks when i was home for christmas. i tested them about a week after i had them and they hooked big time. i wanted to try it at the track but i had to work.

I was going to get the bfg 275-65 so I was wondering why do they suck? I read that they do not grip well on wet roads, but on dry they are great. Does your truck have a posi installed? Do you have any N2O or Supercharger? A converter? Would you recommend them for a bolt-on only truck? I would be happy to get a year out of 2 tires, but I drive like 35,000 miles in a year. Thanks dude.

I'm happy with my Nitto 404's. They hook up better on dry pavement and much better on wet pavement than the stockers did. Haven't had a chance to try them at the track yet though.

hey cash,
i have the stock posi w/ only bolt ons myself. i didn't hook well with them at all. on the dry pavement i could lay a scratch all through first gear. then let up and do it all over again. however at the track i didn't have much of a problem with traction because they would put that sticky stuff on the track. the last time i went though i had bad wheel hop. my 60' sucked but i still got my best 1/4 mile. they looked good on a stock hieght truck but i needed a different tire
