Who cares about making a 10 year old truck complete with brand new trucks.

That's one of the main reasons I'm here. I want my 2004 lm7 extended cab to compete. Even if I do have a daily driver. If they can make a heavy nice fast daily driver then By The POWER Vested IN GMC performancetrucks.net 'n me I will too.
Great board btw. I see the Mods break up BS pretty fast and seem to be very knowledgeable. Moderators cam make or break a board IMO.
Anyway, I plan on competing with
3:73 gears
Transgo programming kit 4l60e ...50k cooler
Circle D 278mm 3000 stall
Vinci "trucker" cam springs, rockers n rods
kooks 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 headers y-pipe with cutouts
Only purchased y-pipe n tranny parts as of now and I believe I've found my tuner. Would like to procharge it after I get tired of that, but that's my plans to keep up with newer trucks.

I don't gotta race every time I leave home, but I like to know mines at least as fast. Makes me feel all warm n toasty on the inside.

Yes i was really really surprised!! Was my first time running /driving on the strip and the first time for my truck too. Even my dad was really suprised.....

My next two runs were really crappy though. That was the best run of the night. Worst was a 15.4..

A lot of this new crap is heavy as hell too.... thus somewhat negating the power numbers they make claims too. An old GMT800 bucket is quite a bit lighter than an equivalent GM, Ford or Ram from today..... even with the aluminum Ford just got their weights down to the level the others were at lol. I don't personally care....... my 15 is such an awesome truck!!!!! that I listed it for sale 3 days ago. Good riddance to bad rubbish lol.

My old truck went 14.3 @ 98 on a 2.1 sixty foot. 101 MPH should be good for high 13s with traction.
