Yea I had to do something that 4.8 had to go. My dads 1-gen tundra would rip it off the line. Good thing is I started with I think the best platform for a street truck. It's a rcsb 2wd. Time will tell as I get pretty good traction for now. I haven't ran into any newer trucks yet that want to play but I have smoked a couple older 5.7 hemi trucks.

Btw I'm in your neck of the woods over the other side of I-4 in Casselberry. I decided to just keep my bed and put money into it.

Same here, RCSS 2WD. The tune isn't 100% in mine, so I haven't pushed it much. Had a run uphill on an onramp with an older Audi A7 3.0T a few weeks ago. He tried to go around me from a few car lengths back. He didn't have quite enough to get around me before he had to merge. I was shocked, until I saw what a heavy pig they are. (4000+ lbs)

My old truck trapped 97.5-98 MPH, this truck makes a good amount more power for the mods. I want to run my friend's SS Camaro from a slow roll, he traps 103-104. Would be a good gauge of what kind of MPH mine traps.

Thats great, I would be surprised if you can't get triple digits. me and a couple of friends are trying to plan to go to bithlo, but hard to get all of our fridays to line up. 1 has a Tahoe 5.3 with head work and cam, the other has a Volvo turbo car, so it should be a fun night. I would be very happy to trap in the 100,s.

I am fairly certain that it will trap 100+ based on dyno #'s. It made 258/281 in 2nd gear - unlocked when it went 98 MPH. It recently did 329/343 locked in 3rd, and the tune isn't finished. I had 3.73s in the other truck, 4.11s in this one. Not a huge difference, but I still notice it.

I need to be content with it, but I find myself wanting to do larger primary headers/ported heads/stall converter next year.

My dads new 2015 ford Edge sport woth a 2.7 twin turbo spanks my silverado. He ran a 14.2 to my 14.8... and his is stock with 21 wheels and all. Roush is about to drop there new F150 nitemare which they call it the fastest street truck... chevy needs to start getting some more performance crap out besides camaros and corvettes and SS sedans..... Another SS Silverado WOULD BE NICE!!

There is always someone faster, yet there is always someone slower.
