Default What is this part that fell out under my dash?

It fell from near the steering column area when I was banging the dash brace back into place. It looks like a staple, but not as sharp, and is about the size of a quarter.

I believe that little clip locks the shifter cable into a bracket under the column

Cool, I'll follow the cable tomorrow to find where this goes. If anyone else wants to confirm this or say something else, feel free to post.

I'll agree. It looks identical to the one that holds the shifter cable to the transmission right by the tranny pan. Take a look.

third that, just replaced one its the lock for the steering wheel side of the gear selector.
