No reason? Better gas mileage, better protection, longer mileage oil changes and RP boasts more power.

too damn expensive to me, its not going to give enough better mileage to offset the costs, i sleep good enough using convential oil for protection in my engine not to worry about it being underprotected without RP, im gonna change my oil every 3kmiles no matter what and the power would be marginal at best

and yes i know im in the minority on this

I just checked poop boys has rp for 6.99qt........Ouch! But M1 was $5.99 so it's not that much more.

Dumb question of the week............how many qts does the change take? I always have my dealer do it

Also, is it cool going to 20/50?? I have always run 10/30 (factory) but I've heard it's better to run the higher viscosity in boosted apps?

that used to be what i heard but now i hear that its better to run a thinner oil. NASCAR Nextel cup uses a 0 weight oil in their race engines

I like it. It sometimes gets harder to find it in a 5w30 or 10w30. Napa around here usually just carries it in a standard 30 weight.

In my silverado with Valv Syn i change every 5500 miles. Perfectly fine if you get a good filter.

I'm gonna be switching to Amsoil 5w-30 at my next oil change...been using Mobil1 5w-30 and 10w-30 for the life of the truck, but after learning of their recent formula changes I'm making the switch. Think I may try the Amsoil oil filters also.
