Default What to do with my Jeep Wrangler.

The Jeep was my car in between my TA and my Silverado. Well I still have the Jeep with the ideas of selling it. Well last time out to the ranch I really did not want to take my VHO offroad. You know with the brush, rocks, and shallow dish 20's just dont mix. My perfect truck would have been a VHO Z71. Well I could always lift my tuck but that would almost be a sin. But at that moment I missed my Jeep. So what should I do.

Sell the jeep for 9K and put the money into current debts.
Put a 6.0 and TH400 in the jeep and tear it up. New axles would be needed of course and those are not cheap.

So what do you think

Well being a Jeep guy myself and owning a 90' Wrangler, I'm gonna have to go with the "Keep it cause you'll miss it once its gone".
I'm building mine strictly for off-roading and using the truck to tow it back and forth. Nothings funner than off-roading without the top on.

I'm feelin' ya on this, because I got rid of my jeep a few months ago in a trade for my current truck. I bought the jeep when I was single, and had weekends off almost every week, so lots of play time. I then got married, moved further away from my off-roading park, and go no weekends off at all. If you don't see your current situation changing anytime soon, and the jeep works out good for you now, then keep it and do a major build-up.

You said you'd sell if for 9k, so i'm guessing its a TJ. Get a good long arm lift kit, some good bumpers and rockers, and do your engine and axle plan. Even though I really like my new silverado, I miss my jeep almost every day. Its a true go-anywhere vehicle and like the cheesy window stickers say Jeep...there's only one.

I'd personally love to do an GEN III swap into a Jeep. I had a 90 wrangler too and wish I had done that motor swap. I wouldn't give up my truck by any means, but I'd like a toy I could abuse.

hey man those 4.0 s are pretty stout , theres no need for a bigger motor unless your mudding in mud that goes up to you winshield. or you can sell it and get a cherokee they are really awesome.

If you are in debt man sell that thing and pay it down. Sleeping easier at night is worth it.

My only debt is the truck and the house. I am by no means starving for money.
