volants ram air scoop ?

As promised...I even popped the R/F inner wheel liner out to get a better view. Keep in mind, my skills are not with the camera lol.

how does it attach to the box itself??

The box is a Volant box, the factory metal plate underneath the air box is removed, and the Volant box installed in it's place. The bottom of the Volant box is formed into a circle with a lip that's a couple inches tall. The scoop attaches to the lip with the silicone "hose" that you can see in the last pic (also in the 4th and sorta in the 5th pics). Two clamps, and it's done.

LOL, honest mistake. I've seen where the guys who make their own or attach the volant to the stock box cut a big hole in the bottom of the box, and get the proper size HVAC style junction...the kind that looks like a top hat with the top cut off. You can drop the "top hat" through the hole you cut, and secure it either with screws, rivets, etc., then attach the scoop to it.
