I had my V6 in the truck from 21k to 100k miles. It wasn't too bad.
I swapped in the 5.3L a few months ago, it's not near as hesitant to get up to speed, there is less strain while driving around.

Go the V8 route, just put a tune on it. That's more than enough and you wont regret it later on down the road.
this^ especially if you ever want to tow your corvette to the track, carshow, etc., v8 FTW

Get the V8 get a tune and magnaflow keep everything else stock you will like it much better . and still get 22mpg high way

I don't really like the 4.3.. its slow and gets about 18 mpg.. Its an ok engine and works good as a dd but I want the V8 swap...

So.. Im gonna follow my heart and go V8 The problem with owning a vette is that you start to measure everything you drive aginst it.. even though this is gonna be a DD the V6 just lefte me wanting more.... something..

Please don't make the same mistake all us V6 guys already made.....go V8. My RCSB is too much for the 4.3/auto. You'll get tired of driving it on the highway really quick

I got this truck after DDing a mild 5.0/5 speed fox GT and it took a while to get used to.
