Question Upgrade brakes

I'm looking for some real good advice on upgrading my brakes and rotors, I need your opinion on which calipers, pads, brand of stainless steel braided lines and rotors to get and which one's have worked best for you guys and gals...I have a 07 silverado ext.cab 6.0 vmax 4x4 with 39k miles and my right front rotor is bad, looks like the pads may have been worn down and grinded into the rotor previously...I bought the truck in 2010 and just replaced the tires and when doing so discovered the bad rotor, they had already put the driver side wheel on when I thought about checking the condition of the brakes...so I'm going to completely do the brakes front and back but with a very nice upgrade so fellow truckers help me out Please!!!

your breaks shouldn't be down to the rotor with that age of truck... you could have a bad caliper or break line. does it pull any to one side or the other when you brake? by far, the most cost effective brake upgrade would be hydroboost.

I don't think that these are the original pads and I'm like you they should not ..be worn down due to the age and milage of the truck but I don't hear any noise or it doesn't pull to either side, I can drive and take my hands off the sterring wheel and press the brakes and the truck stops in a straight line no pulling...I would not have noticed if I had not put my hands on the rotor to check the surface and look at the pad wear. The inside pad looks like it's not been worn much at all but the outside pad is worn down alot so uneven wear is what's going on...could be bad caliper? or brake line? I will check on that tomorrow...but aside from that I just want to change everything and then I will know for sure what I have because I will have done myself...Just need to know some brands and what others on here have done while upgrading their brakes...Thanks for the response

What is your price range is the first question. What size wheels do you have is the second.

I have 20" factory wheels and as far as price goes I'm open to mid to high range
just want a good setup that is above stock and one that have been good for others with similar wheel size

If you want increased performance for the cheapest price. Hydroboost is one of the best mods i have done.

As the others have said, Id start with a hydroboost swap off an HD truck or SUV and see if you want more. After that, the sky is the limit. Hydroboost should cost you less than 300 total on the high side, after that how much would you have to spend?

Read the fine print, most of those extended warranties are a crock of **** anyway. I'd imagine it probably would for the braking system but then again if you went to a big brake kit depending on what kind of tech you got that could void it too. If you're worried about your warranty just keep it stock. Most of us on here lost our warranties long ago so its not of any concern.
