because its a junkyard part. chances are there that at some point in the near future, the same problems will occur. that's why I'm curious if the motors themselves are repairable.
back in the day, people used to "fix" parts like starters alternators calipers ect . . . instead of just buying new parts.

At least a JY unit will get you working again and then you can play with the broken one. Can't see it being more than $10 at the junkyard.

Im still having the original problem. Just don't got the time to go fooling with it and the bike is more fun to ride around in traffic city anyways. Not even sure if there are any junk yards near me.
