the RS is just a trim package, you can get the SS which is the V8 model but with the RS package, but I know what you mean, there should be a mid level v8, like a 6.0 z28 or something. Its rumoured that a Z28 is in the making

 

The Z28's gonna be the top dog, not the SS. Talk of an SC'd 6.2L in the Z, basically a detuned version of the CTS-V and ZR1 engine.

 

They shouldn't make a v6 IMO. They will be everywhere like the 02' model v6 mustangs.

 

which is exactly why they make them. It's affordable for the consumer and the manufacturer. They sale like crazy for the people that just like the look. and then offer the v8 for the people who know the meaning of Muscle Car.

 

Not happening, at least not this year, theres no mention of a z28 for the 2010 model year.

Why? so everyone can have the v8 like me? Id rather alot of v6s going around with a few people who actually know something about the camaro having a v8, with out the v6 the camaro would not make it more then a year. Ever since the camaro was conceived there has been a v6 available
