Default Truck wont start + bad idle when it does, HELP!

Hey guys I wonder if you could help me out on this one.

Over the last couple days my truck has been misfiring and idling crappy. Yesterday it flat out died on me. I figured it was some bad gas maybe so i changed the fuel filter just because. The filter was pretty gummed up so I thought that might solve it. It started up strong after installing the filter, put bottle of heat in it, and thought it was good to go. This morning i started it up and began to drive but it died 10 feet later. It seems to want to die when I hit the throttle, so could this be a bad fuel pump? Any help would be great, thanks.

I couldn't get mine to run when my fp crapped out. Good your getting the Walbro, but check your fuel pressure just in case it's something else. Any codes or CEL?

Dirty or bad MAF sensor.....try cleaning the MAF and also clean the TB while you are at it. Also, double check to make sure all of your intake clamps are tight........

Fuel pump or intake gasket was my guess.

Friend of mine just had to replace her intake gasket and had similar symptoms.

It definitely sounds like you have a vacuum leak. Before you go spending money on replacing parts unnecessarily, check your fuel pressure as previously stated, then check for vacuum leaks and if all seems well, take a look at your maf sensor.

The only reason for you to be getting a lean code on both banks would be a vacuum leak IMO.
