Lets start this off on a more positive note. So for you guys that didn't get to attend, let me give the facts.
- Largest class in the Shootout (except brackets) 13 trucks and 3 more tried to get in the next day, but couldn't since they missed Saturday qualifications
- an 11.7 pass made by one of our guys (BlackSheep)
- TnTrk53 won the class
- an EFI V6 pre 94 S-10 running 10 flats
- all but 2 trucks were Full size Chevy's or GMC's, or a Tahoe
- 3 ext cabs (2 in the 14's on motor (5.3) and me with a 15.1 with a 4.8)
- I think everyone had a new best
- the track lived up to it's rep for being sticky....right BigKid
- A great bunch of guys and gals with trucks
- Amy was selling her 12.2 truck for under 15k
- Goshawk23 towing a trailer and 4 wheeler up there and still broke into the 14's with his tow truck.
- The good things far outwiegh the bad. Fact is, the only crappy thing was the complaining about some of our tires. But, that is racing. Everyone wants their own advantage and do what they can to get it.
- We did get a large amount of support from the spectators and most other racers.
- I think only 2 of the truck racers were not members here, and that was the S-10's and one was a Billingsly Racing ride.
- Thunder made full payout on the class even though we were under the min 15 to get it. But they suprised us and paid it even though they didn't have to.. I was very happy to hear that!
I want everyone that can try to make it next year. With a little better planning on our parts, I think we can get 20 + trucks out there. The 2004 Spring Break shootout is next on the list. When the date is set, lets go again. How many of you guys want to make it out?
Props to Thunder Racing, their staff, and the guys that made it out. Now lets get the word out and double it next year!

I'm looking forward to the Spring Break Shootout. I will have everything done by then and ready for another chance to get kicked out of the track for no roll cage and also to show off my ls1tech.com shirt.

I could not miss the chance to hang out with "team chevy truck" Too much fun to be had. I also cant miss Curt gettin kicked up out that biatch. Hopefully we will have fewer tire problems on the way there. If there is another party like the one Saturday evening then I might go just for that. Look forward to seeing yall before then though.
