If I were to replace the clutch assembly only, would I still have to open up the system or could it be done on the vehicle?

just take to compressor off.... probibly do for a recharge anyway...

I did have the wife hold the rpms to about 2000 while I watched the compressor cycle on and off. The noise occurred every time the clutch engaged and it cycled on. I cant tell if the belt is sliiping because its happening so fast, but its definitly coming from the clutch area. I mentioned changing the clutch because that would be cheaper, but if you guys think I should go with the whole thing I will. Ron
