Default Trans Question

Future plans for my truck include under drive pulley, adding Volant Air Scoop to the Volant CAI, Pacesetter Long Tubes and a 2600 converter (not sure which brand). I don't plan on doing any internal engine mods or power adders until my truck gets a good built older. I occasionally rag my truck but for the most part I drive it normal. Now for the questions.

1. With only the mods mentioned above and the mods I currently have do should I plan to install a shift kit or will the stock trans be ok for now (my truck only has 9200 miles on it?

2. My current best is 15.22. With my current mods along with future mods mentioned above would it be safe to assume I should be able to get some 14.6 - 14.7 time slip?
