Default Traded TA for Chevy Silverado

Well i traded in my car for a 2005 black chevy silverado 4.8 liter V8 4 x 4 ext cab short box and it definately doesn`t have as much power as the car had so i`m looking at doing some long tube headers with true dual straight pipe exaust after the cats and a cool air intake. So i`m wondering what kind of horsepower increases and MPG decreases i would be looking at? This truck and the motor thats in it is all new to me so any help or info would be greatly appreciated.

depends on what headers you buy, I'd get a good tune to top it all off, that's whats going to get the best increases

I don't really see it hurting you're gas mileage that much. I would definitely get it tuned though

Im not sure exact numbers, but with my 35 inch tires I was barely getting just over 400 kms to a tank, but after my ory and long tube headers and dumped exhaust Im getting over 450 km per tank on a regular basis and I mash the skinny peddle more then ever

Yeah i got that but i`m just looking for a little more power out of it because even my fiances 05 malibu feels like it has more power. i think maybe i just need to get the exaust done for i can atleast hear something when i step on it. I hate quiet vehicles. what is the stock 4.8 listed at for horsepower anyway? just curious.
