At least place some air bags on the rear of your Tahoe for added suspension help. The load leveler could also actually raise the rear of the axle of your Tahoe close to or off the ground. There for limiting your traction.
However, good luck, and welcome back to TX neighbor!

I found some sweet bags that fit in the coils and come with there own compressor, in cab monitor, and in cab adjustment for $350. I may get those. They are supposed to level 1500 or 2500 lbs.

The proper size trailer, if not tow vehicle as well, is your best bet. You're bound to hate the trip before it ends though, because the Yukon is certainly a far cry from recommended for such a trip. It's an SUV and not a pick up truck for many reasons. In the end, if you haven't got the correct tools for the job, it's usually cheaper in the end to either get them or pay someone else to do the job.
Common sense tells us what we should do in certain situations. No amount of personal goods is worth risking one's life over. Shipping the ATV would cost about $500-1,000.00 and that would critically reduce your tow weight and space needed in trailer length as well. If you don't want to pay someone for all the moving, at least consider part of it so that you can make your trip safer, not just for you and your things, but every other motorist you may negatively affect in case of an accident.
Many of us are simply offering comments and suggestions based on concern and many of us tow trailers regularly and know what is and isn't likely to work well. Your 1st idea simply won't work well and it seems you've abandoned it. I, for one, am glad for that. I've seen too many rollovers and other crashes due to what amounts to carelessness or ignorance and that's the kind of thing I think several here are trying to help you avoid.

Just a thought, have you thought about a large U-Haul or Ryder truck to take most of your stuff down and come back in empty? Then you can come down in your Tahoe and trailer with no problems.
It may be worth looking into. IMO.
Shipping an ATV for $500-$1000 is not even close to worth it.
Instead of spending the money on the air bags, put it towards a U-Haul rental. It may be close to covering the rental for a few days.
Like I said, just an idea.
