Default Tow mirror swap question.

I want to put the newer style tow mirrors on my 2001 Duramax. I know it's been done before, but I haven't seen anybody post up about how they handled the electrical part of it.

What I'm wondering is this: How did you go about wiring the turn signals to work, or did you just omit them? Also, what did you do with the different electrical connectors? Butt connectors, or re-pin?

Here's a pic I stole from the 'Bucket, of a 2001-2002 HD with the mirrors I'm planning on getting for mine.

Thanks for the help guys!

Yeah on mine they were plug and play also,

Try searching on the diesel place, lots of mirror threads there,

Also Flea bay has some great deals on tow mirrors that might be plug and play on your year truck.

They do look perfect and " Mandatory " on an HD truck!

Just install them as the normal mirrors. You then gotta pull a wire into each door to get the turn signals working in them

If you find any mirrors like this for the Express vans, please let me know about them. I know somebody who REALLY REALLY wants some. The truck mirrors don't fit.
