Default ? Timing cover gasket set needed for 04 LQ9

I'm looking for a timing cover seal/ gasket set . They offer two different gaskets sets for my 04 LQ9 . One says it must be done with oil pan gasket and the other doesn't . I need this gasket set for doing a cam swap. So my ? Is do I need to try and replace the oil pan gasket or is that gasket set that says" needs to be done with oil pan gasket" overkill. The cam will be done in the truck.*

No need for the oil pan gasket when doing a cam swap. Just remove the two front oil pan bolts that thread into timing cover before removing it.

No need for oil pan gasket. You do however need a little rtv for the corners on the bottom of the front cover where it mates to the oil pan. I just re-used my front cover gasket...... Pretty sure I'm not the only one ether lol

Reuse all gaskets and dab some rtv at the bottom corners of the front cover.
