if i was gonna buy a GT i would wait till next year....the 05s are gonna look pretty cool...and should have signifigantly more power over the current models. my cousin just bought an 04 GT, 5spd and it's....well, it already sucumed to the power of the LM7...

i would go for an 05 v6 and toss in an ls1 of some kind, have the looks and the power.

those things are nice to look at. you might want to go get the latest hot rod if your not real familur with the 05's, there is a nice write up in there.

Isn't Carol Shelby coming out with an 05 or 06 mustang?
I thought I read that somewhere

I would buy one now and throw the bolt-ons to it. I ran a customer's gt to a 13.90 on my first gen G-tech. But that's with a 5-speed but the auto would make a good cruser.

I have a friend with a 02 auto with a Vortech s-trim (intercooled) and 3.73 gears that runs 12.0 on drag radials. Have another friend with a 02 five speed with exhaust only running 13.6x. They are very good looking cars IMO and are very solid to drive. However the 03 cobra I took for a spin was one of the best cars I have driven. I would love to have one. I like the mustangs and with a little tlc they can be pretty fast cars.
