Talking Think I got a pretty sweet deal at Sears today.

Well, I went to Sears, because I was in desperate need of some "good" tools. I saw a few kits, and saw a 121-piece mechanic kit for $99. I picked it up, and started walking around, when I noticed a few 151-piece kits sitting there. They all had $149 stickers on them, all except one. Oh, it had a $149 sticker on it, but there on the handle, was a $99 tag. I have no idea why this 151-piece kit cost the same as the 121 kit, because the 151-piece kit had all the same stuff, plus the addition of metric wrenches and standard wrenches. I carried it up to the desk, and ask the lady about it. She had no idea why they both were this price, but she rang it up, and I was out the door with 151 shiny new craftsman tools for $100. I love a set of new tools!!!!

Good eye man! That's fair game, its not like you stole it. Were those craftsman USA tools. That sounds like a good deal, I have some gift certificates there. You never can have enough tools.

Nice!

I had a similar situation with a bike I bought from WalMart a while back. A ~300$ bike just happened to have a tag from it's neighboor which was only like 70 bucks. It rang up as a 26" bike, no questions were asked, and I didn't say anything either.

Yeah, they were craftsman USA tools. I was just tired of breaking all of my crappy tools relatives have bought me for Christmas over the years.

Good deal. I know when I worked at Target they said that if an item had a different price on it even if you know its wrong you still had to sell it to them for that price. Also if the price tag or barcode is missing, we would ask the customer if they knew the price and whatever price they said was the price they got it at. I guess Sears has the same kind of policy. Good job on getting them cheap man, can't beat a good deal like that!
