I know i didnt say i had the best truck, but for a $20k difference, well for the mods i have , $225 for the HPPIII, $265 for the FIPK, and 334 for the tires, thats only $814 in mods including the tires. so for a $19,186 difference, not to mention the insurance difference of the trucks. i will race anybody on here! i dont mind gettin beat!

 

I used to get beat daily with the 4.8

 

Eveyone gets beat sometimes. We all have been beat at least once. 1stoopidfly4.8 sumed it up great. You never know what the other guy has got and he dont know what you got either.

i see your useing the price thing lol........ so i guess it's ok for me to use it too.......my truck was $19,100 new i put $100 in mods and ran 13.71 at 99mph in a loaded longbed work truck

 

The problem is you are not comparing apples to apples.

Your truck is older. Brand new the sticker was probably closer to $25-$28k. I know for a fact it is MUCH easier to get great deals on the Dodge trucks than it is on GMs. Most of my buddies are buying Dodges for that reason.

i agree with that.....you never know what the othere guy has done....most people think that my truck only runs 15s

 

i can buy dodge quad cabs for $23k all day long with the hemi motor....if the other guys dodge cost him $37k then he paid to much or its a loaded 4x4 quad cab with extras.....like leather tow package and more and they are over 6000 pounds

 

well it works pretty good doesnt it? i mean if u bought a $100k sports car that only runs a 13sec 1/4. then someone goes and buys a $30k truck and puts say another $30k in it and runs a easy 12sec 1/4.u have $40k less than the other guy, not to mention the insurance difference.
but for me it depends on the insurance, MPG, and overall price??
You have to have a pretty good balance! well i do that is.

by the way i have found out i have the 4L60E tranny, i have heard of these things goin out pretty easy. what can i do to help it last longer? besides not pullin heavy loads, and hammerin on it all the time!

transgo shift kit may help lengthen the life. But yes 4l60e is poo poo
