o really, i thought the hd ones were like NV500s. i can see wat hes saying though i can see wat hes saying though when he says that trannys not made for racing. i think i should still be able to get good times but he insists on doing an automatic. i dont want to if i dont have to though, im lookin at spendin to much damn money there.

o ok. lol wat the hell you talkin bout i got a hurst shifter with a pool ball grip and its in the shop right now getting a foot print gas pedal installed, if thats not for racing i dont know what is. yes but in all honesty i do realize stuff is going to break, lol i just dont have the damn money right now to do everything all at once, and as long as i dont do to much drag racing right away it will hold up till i get the money to do the stuff like a clutch or even new tranny. but it is a go, i plan on buying my motor and having just about everything i need within 2 weeks from now

The NV4500 is in the heavier trucks.

The NV3500, which you most likely have, is hard to shift at the track. When you're trying to shift quick and hammer through the gears - it resists. J.Whitten is well into the 13's with his JG's 4.8 5speed boosted truck, but he's complained about getting into 3rd, I believe, when going down the track. It's just not meant for racing.
