I have never calculated mpg as its a lifted truck and I am sure it would not be good.
as for topping out, again its a lifted truck and I don't do 200 with it. I am more about light to light racing

i asked the same questions 35in tires with lift for 4.8 or 5.3 would be 4:56 gears but like myself i want a SC soon so 4:56 and SC would rost tires and be annoying to drive once gets into boost. so im thinking on 35s 4:10s with SC would be perfect but i could be wrong everyone i talk to says something different

I have 35 and have run 4.56 and 4.88's now. The 4.88 rock ***** but a little to step on hwy for me. That is just me. Go with 4.56... as for fuel mileage it should stay close to the same.

i have 4.56s and 35s i had 4.56s and 33. Dont fear the gear, especially if you have 35s. I wouldnt do 4.10s and 35s, not enough there.

Ive had 4.88s with 32s... so yes. DO FEAR the gear...

that setup you got, prob 4.30 is optimal, maybe 4.56s..

but focus on making more power... gears do nothing for power.

like your titile says. keep the stock gears and put a supercharger or a turbo. you will be much happier with the results.

your truck will still suck with 5.13 gears, trust me. and hwy, will be awful, like dump truck awful.

Mileage, I see about 12.5avg. Do I care? No. Would 4.56 have made much of a difference in mpg? No. Do I expect to avg 17.5 on 35s? Absolutely not.
Does the truck do 160? No. Will it still do 100? Yes. Do I ever need to go 120+ in a 10" lifted truck? No.

I run about 2500rpm at 70 on the hwy. from what I have read, and what I was told by a very reputable shop who did my gears (WFO concepts) the 4.88 will only spin about another 150 rpm higher than a 4.56 at hwy speeds. It also gives me the option to run 37s, which I will when it's time for tires.

IMO, 4.88 is a win win as opposed to a 4.56. Gears are expensive, so do it once and do it right. If you plan to run 35s, go 4.88

it is all personal opinion on what people think streetable is. my setup is very streetable and I live out of town so I have to go on the highway everyday but our speed limit is 100km/h so I normally do 110. doesn't bother me one bit

You're likely at 3.73s, that's standard with the Tahoe z71 package. I'd go 4.56 with 35s, that's what I had in my bronco with 35s and it was perfect for offroading and around town/highway.

Get a Magnacharger, plenty of low end torque.
