Supercharger for lifted truck???

Getting a 03-06 tahoe z71.
Will be lifting with 6.5 bds lift and fox shocks.
18" wheels and 35" nitto trail grapplers.
Planning on doing k&n CAI, borla catback, and blackbear tune or another that anyone may suggest.

But i dont think it will be enough for me. I want this truck to be reliable but i know ill want more UMPH!
I would really like to go turbo but i was told it would be too impractical since ill be offroading and end up costing a bit more. So is a SC a better way to go?
If so what supercharger kits do you reccomend?
What else will i need to do besides
Injectors?
Head gaskets
Cam
Head work
Possible bottom end work

Thanks for any help!!!

Gears would be cheaper and make up for the 35's.

I'd say take a look in the Forced Induction section, lots of good info in there on kits. I know a lot of people around here recommend TVS1900's, though.

The 4L60E is going to give up the ghost if you offroad it with a supercharger in a Tahoe, though. Simply not enough clutch area to survive the sort of torque you'll be loading it with.

Ok can you tel me what ratio the stock gears are and what you put in aftermarket? How much mpg do you lose?

Id rebuild the 4l most likely.
I heard people do the 'corvette servo' on these?

They do change the servos, increases the apply pressure on the bands slightly. It won't really help offroad longevity much, though. A supercharger will probably toast a built 60E when offroad pretty quickly, they won't live on concrete very long behind boost as it is.

Your stock gears can be 3.23, 3.43, 3.73 or 4.10:1 ratio. It depends on the RPO codes for the rearend that the truck shipped with. Since you got a 4x4 I'd say it's more likely you have the 3.73 gears. If you go up ratios you might lose a couple of MPGs on the highway but they will help offset the city losses inflicted by the big tires.

What gear brand do you normally use?
Do you go to 4.10 or is there something inbetween?
Aslo do most people change just the gears or the entire carrier as well?

I don't know. That question would be better asked in the Drivetrain section, though.

throw some 4.88 or 5.13 gears in, that will wake up the low end

I'm on 35's with 4.88's. what a difference from the stock 3.73's. she's got some pep now

Gears were $1400 otd for front and rear. Full install kits btw

try 36"s with 5.38s:)
