I've heard the rumors of a vette engine that was gonna be supercharged but, the talk in the thread below says there is gonna be a truck engine with a supercharger. Check it out, certainly looks like it's for a truck to me.

I had thought the new engine for the vette was gonna be the 7.0 supercharged? The guy who posted it seems to pretty accurate on vette matters, so my guess is that it really is for the vette. I'm just wondering if it has the sump oil system like the Z06

edit: well the further I read down it seems everyone agrees its for a truck/suv. Every seems to think escalade-v. It wouldnt surprise me if it made it into a silverado SS, however I wouldnt expect to see it in a RCSB SSS. Either way, whatever its for, its nice and has lots of power

just thought I would add one more thing. I saw them talk about the v12 program, I dont know anything about it. But I did talk to a guy who worked at the proving grounds and said they had a v10 escalade. This was about a year and a half ago, so they obviously didnt go anywhere with the v10.

I just read in the latest (or the one before that) issue of GMHTP that the V-10 Gen IV engine will be coming out in trucks before too long, but I think only heavier duty ones. I'll have to double check that information, so take it for what it's worth.

 

Will be really nice to see a supercharged engine in the new Silvy SS. It'll be interesting to see the new cts-v coupe and other vette platforms too.

I will be freaking torn when I finally have the scratch to consider one of these to add to the garage.
