Default Stupid Walbro install question

Well, I finally put the pump back in the tank last night... one thing is bothering me though. When I put the unit back in the tank it hit the bottom and I had to push down to get the top down to put the locking ring back on. It is spring loaded so no big deal, but it seems like the inlet/sock is going to be pressed on the bottom of the tank! Is that ok?

Cool! Just wanted to make sure it wasn't gonna restrict or block the fuel. Thanks!

Thanks yall! Didn't figure it would be a problem, but nice to hear from people who have done it.
