Default effect of not having a 02 sensor?

Getting some long tube Pacestters installed and the 'mechanic' says im going to loose the 02 sensor and have a engine light come on . What is the effect on my engine good or bad?

You still need to use the front two sensors but the rear two will need to be tuned out so you won't have a check engine light.

He must be talking about the rear O2's, as there are bungs for the fronts. No biggie, you'll have a check engine light until you can get the PCM tuned and have the rear O2 sensors and accompanying codes turned off.
