Default Stock wheel discussion

Rather than get to far OT with the "Photoshoped" thread, I just thought I would make a new post.

I still have my stock 16" alum wheels.

1. Anyone know the weight with a 235/75/16 Wrangler on them? To lazy to get them down from the attic and check

2. They are 16x7. What is the widest drag style tire I can go and still be useful w/o rounding

3. What is the smallest and skinniest availiable tire for the front? All I have found is a 225/75

4. Oxidizr, do you have a link to your future tire/wheel selection?

Not sure on the exact weight, but I picked up my stock wheel, same as yours and my 17" Colorado Custom wheel and the stock on felt noticable heavier.

2. I have 255 Drag Radials on my stock wheels right now, but I want to get some ET streets, so I am the same boat as you.

Can't help you with the others, hope this helps. Kent.

Can't help ya here. But the factory cast 5 spoke aluminum wheels are very light.

26x11.50x16 ET Street

I've seen 28x7.50x16 MT Sportsmans which were popular with the 94-96 Imapla SS crowd. They are 8 ply tubeless and have a capacity of 3000 lbs / tire which should suit the truck just fine.

Bogart Racing Wheels

They are custom made to order wheels and the rears retail about $350 ea. and the fronts about $250 ea. for the combo I'm looking for. Bogart is about 45 mins south of here and really the only reason I'm getting these is I have met someone who is getting me some exceptional pricing. They are strong, light but a little heavy on the pocket book.

I use a second set of factory wheels at the track now but I want 16x6 front and 16x10 rears. The bogart wheels are a whopping 12.75 lbs in the front...quite a bit lighter than the welds and I get them for less than $250 <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
