Default Steering Wheel Controls not illuminated anymore...??

What is the fix, if anything, for this. It is both pads on the left hand side. On-Star/Prog., and Source, I believe. Same thing for rear temp control...anyone had to replace one of those due to no illumination??

Common problem, replacing the steering wheel controls is the easiest solution. They just pry out and unplug. It will be cheaper to replace the bulb for the rear temp controller, but it is most likely a soldered in bulb so it is not necessarily easy.

awesome, thanks for the quick reply. I work for a salvage yard, so maybe i can locate a rear temp ctrl on our parts locater and just buy a used one to see if that will fix it.

Look through or search that thread for part numbers. If you don't find it then ask in there. I used to have numbers for the steering wheel swithches and those numbers are in that thread, but I think a couple of the part numbers have changed since I bought new switches.

Here are the steering wheel swith numbers that I found.

VOL/SEEK 1999443

PROG/SOURCE 1999442

SELECT/PERSONALIZE 21997739

TRIP/FUEL 21997738
