Well, somewhere on the way home, one of my starter bolts fell out. When it fell out it put pressure on the small lip where the other bolt goes in and broke it off.
So, I had to go to Autozone and deal with the complete IDIOTS that work there. They found me a new starter, but I noticed the lip was a whole lot bigger than the original starter. I figure it might be due to the smaller lips breaking off? Anyway, I asked them for some starter bolts and they gave me some small *** bolts I knew wouldn't work. After explaining to them that they wouldn't work, I finally decided to find the damn bolts myself. After two trips to Autozone, I finally got the new starter in and back running. I really hate stupid asses that work at parts stores. I bet he could have told me what wing would look best on my Civic, but couldn't find me two damn bolts. GOOD GRIEF!

I would have advised you NOT to get ANY electronic devices from IdiotZone..
Every single starter, or alternator, or anything to do with the electrical system on ANY vehicle that I have owen that I bought from IdiotZone, crapped out within 6months of purchase.
I would have gone with Orielly's or someone else besides IdiotZone..
Good Luck my friend
and sorry about your misshap

They told me about the "lifetime" warranty, but I don't think it covers getting his fat *** out from behind that counter and taking my old one out and putting in a new one. If I have any problmes with it, I'll just keep carrying that bitch back up there to them and get a new one. They'll eventually get sick of it.

I got an alternator from them when the origional alternator in my old Jimmy let go, it got me down to school on Sunday (from NH to CT) and on the way to class on monday, the battery light came on, drove 30 miles on battery, got to school, pulled the alternator, the thing got so hot, the plastic on the inside melted, and plugged all the vents in the case, went to a local AZ down there, threw a damn fit and got a new one, and it still worked when I sold the Jimmy

I had a run in with Idiot Zone with week
I was repairing a drain plug on an oil pan in the g/f's car
They total dolts.
There cust service is **** poor - they look at you like you have a horn growing out of your forehead - then they figure out that you know more than they do... and they get all huffy.
I finally walked around the back of the counter - got my drain plug - and a tap from "Isle 3"
Hello - I am trying to give you money here.....
Another story - I have an older car and according to there "computer"
The transmission is in my car - never came in my car.
Duh
It is original - I had to fight tooth and nail - just to get the rear tailshaft seal
I was looking for.
Come to find out the seal was on the shelf - not 3 feet from him
He ended up looking like an ***.
I feel sorry for customers that dont know WTF they are talking about.

we just got an oreillys here local. so as far as the big auto parts stores, there are three now. and none of which are worth a frig. we have a good local auto parts store but of course the prices are a tad higher and they don't have the warranty on a lot of stuff advance and autozone have.
hopefully it stays put for you.

Yep, auto zone, advance auto, chief.........etc etc have really ruined the enjoyment of working on your vehicle. Bad enough your ride is broke and you are already in foul mood but these idiots want to make me come back in with a shot gun and force their lazy asses to do some work other than looking at the computer.
Don't get me wrong, there are a lot of skilled people that work at some of these places, but I must go on their day off and get the 16 year old chick with fishing lures and **** in her face. Out in Baytown there used to be a place on Main Street that I came across, this shop that had been around for 40 years. They had bar stools to sit on and ashtrays so; you could shoot the **** with them. They spent 2 hours trying to figure out which vacuum advance I needed for this POS 70' Ford I had. After that, I supported that shop until it's demise 1 year later.
If you can find a home town auto parts store that gives you a little bit of support, then return the favor and support them, even if it costs a little more.
