The usual symptoms of the fpr occur after a hot soak, but it's worth checking...only takes a second to pop the vacuum line off. Have you happened to notice if the truck smokes when it starts up and idles rough...like it's running rich? Could be a fuel injector leaking also, or maybe even an IAC problem. You could also try cleaning the throttle body, it may be full of carbon and crud, creating issues with the IAC passages.
