Default Stall taking a long time to lock up on highway???

Hey, i figured this problem would do away once i drove it around some but it hasnt changed. I have about 450 miles on it now and when i'm cruzing on the highway it takes like 5 minutes to lock up. So for five minutes i'm running over 4krpms till it locks up. Whats up with this? The only things i've changed in the tranny side is no TM and raised the WOT shift a little.

Also is there a way to change the tow/haul section to lock up earlier in second so around town isnt so crazy?

Mine does that when it is cold out. It seems to hold gears longer and take alot longer to lock up.

Ditto. I guess when it's in the 30's, it take me about 5 miles before I lock up. No real biggie though since I'm only taching ~2800 rpms @65 till she locks up and shifts into fourth at ~1800 rpms

It is in your tunning to not lock up till the tranny is up to opperating temps. That is why it holds gears longer and dosnt lock up when it is really cold out.
Mine still does not lock up even after the truck is warm and the ambient temps are not cold at all but it is very sprattic so I cannot create a patern of when it does it. I am starting to think there is some trash in the lockup valve or something. Once I get my atap working again I am going to make sure the pcm is sending a signal for TCC.

I know mine is warm, like 160* warm by the time i get on the highway. I guess it must be normal then if all you guys have this problem.

bigkid/snakeeater, why dont you disable misfires in your tuner cable to try if thats it,

i really thought mine was a mechanical problem too, but after disabling to verify, that sure was the problem, its a easy try w/o getting your hands dirty.if disabling works, then proceed to up the misfire counts in the tables.

Yeah, the cold thing is normal, and seperate from the thing on the highway...

I think there was a sticky in the tuning section for non-locking (AFTERMARKET) converters... I think you guys need to command more pressure to it or something to that effect. I think there's been a few cooked TCC's due to the issue...
