Default srt-10 v-10 ram runs 14.08 @ 101.64

read in new truckin mag that the srt-10 ram with 500hp500tq ran a 14.08@101.64 , now for that kinda power numbers isnt that kinda slow?this is a reg cab short bed and they est. weight at 5000lbs. kinda a porky thing isnt it? makes me wonder about some numbers thrown out buy hemi owners.

if that was with those 22's and street tires.......I'd imagine there was serious traction issues - but even the best #'s Ive seen aren't good enough for that amount of power.

i would think it would run much faster than that. however, with anything, i am sure tuning is not at it's peak and there are probably a few other restrictors out there keeping it from doing some serious damage on the street

I am sure traction is a big problem. Do they have a 60' for the run?

no 60 times but that was with a 6 speed. not saying these trucks arnt monsters but for 45-50k thats not the numbers i exspect. with all the hype that there was for this truck thats kinda weak in my opinion , hell any vette or ls1 f-body betters that (i know theres a big weight difference) but you know the guys who buy these are going to think there the king of all trucks and theres many moded trucks with those numbers for less cash.

So I guess the point of the SRT-10 is not to drag race or to handle, but to have fun and burn up 22 inch rubber. Sounds expensive!

Dude, Truckin Mag is a joke when it comes to numbers on some vehicles. Sport Truck this month tested as running a 13.12 at 108. Back when the 99 silverados came out the magazines were way off from real life.
All I know is unless Dodge really f*cked up a monkey could drive that beast in the 13's stock. Look at how quick those little freakin srt-4's are.

I haven't been around the chevys long enough to be sure on ET vs power......but I do know that any Lightning with 500hp is going to be in the 11s - with or without good traction. Not to mension there have been stock Lightnings that run 13.2. I'm sure a 500hp chevy might even do better .........not saying the srt10 isn't a cool truck, but the numbers just dont match up.

Now if I had the money for a SRT10 and the funds to put a blower or turbo on it...........
