Here go to. http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAu...facturerID=624
I would up grade from the MB Quart DSE-216 for $149.00 / 1/2 tweeter
to the MB Quart RSC-216 for $189.00 / 3/4 tweeter
The Discus is the entry line, they are ok but they don't stand up to the true MB Quart name.
You will get a lot better sound with the Reference series. It has a 3/4 tweeter and a better crossover.
I have the MB Quart RSC-216 . You will love them just like I do.

Vision, what's this about the Alpine speakers being Vifas? Very curious could you point me to that info? I used to run Vifa stuff for my home theatre setup back in the day. LOL
Ohh, I recomend listening to a bunch of speaker with the same CD and no enhancments like loudness, bass, treble etc. See which ones you like best and remember that it's only an approximation because location inside a car can change things drastically. Luckily our trucks can have great tonal quality but imaging can be a bitch.

The 6 1/2 are replacement. The tweeters you will need to get a piece of Plexiglas or 1/4 particle board and make a filler board. The factory tweeters are bigger and diamond shaped. Or you can find many other places to put them. heres how mine look, I used a piece of plexiglas. Cut a piece bigger than the diamond and two bolt holes. Then cut a round hole and the two bolt holes in it. Painted it black, and put it all in.
